Our Story
House of Bluecherry is a mother–daughter vision brought to life by and Harmonie Essome and Tina Otte. With over 30 years of experience in organic and natural cosmetics, Tina is a pioneer in Germany's organic cosmetic beauty scene. As the mother of a multicultural family with Afro-textured hair, she knows the challenges of curly hair care and ensures that House of Bluecherry embodies values of sustainability, inclusivity, and warmth. Her daughter, Harmonie Essome, born in Cameroon and raised in Germany, studied communications in the USA and London before returning back to Frankfurt to launch Germany’s first Black-owned curl and beauty concept. From learning to braid in Cameroon to creating Bluecherry Hair and founding House of Bluecherry in 2021, her mission has always been clear: to provide holistic services for Afro and curly hair while building a vibrant, diverse community that celebrates natural beauty. Together, Tina and Harmonie created House of Bluecherry as a welcoming space where every curl is cherished, diversity is celebrated, and beauty feels like home.
